Dog Ready helps you keep dog profiles, care routines, observations, weight and veterinary records, prescribed medication reminders, memories, and walk history. It also offers an optional virtual dog trial. These records are stored in the app on your device. Dog Ready has no user accounts or developer-operated database. The app does not diagnose conditions or prescribe treatment.
With permission, a GPS walk you explicitly start records your route, distance, and duration. Background location continues during an active walk when the screen is locked and stops when you finish or discard the walk. You can decline location and log walks manually. Routes remain in local storage unless you export your records or enable automatic iCloud backup. Map display uses Apple Maps on iOS and Google Maps on Android; those platform services may connect to their providers under their own privacy policies.
With permission, you can choose or take a photo for a dog's profile or memory. Dog Ready copies it into the app's local storage. Dog Ready does not upload photo binaries in its manual JSON exports or automatic iCloud snapshots. Those backups cannot recover your photos on another device. Standard device backups may include local app files under your platform settings.
With your permission, completed tracked walks can be written as walking workouts to Apple Health or Android Health Connect. Dog Ready does not read your health records. You can manage or revoke access and remove exported workouts in the platform's health app. Deleting a walk or uninstalling Dog Ready does not delete a workout already saved there.
Apple App Store or Google Play processes the one-time Premium purchase. Dog Ready receives the purchase result and stores a local entitlement; it does not receive your payment card details. Restore Purchases uses the store account. Data backups cannot grant Premium. Purchases and refunds are managed by the relevant store.
Manual export creates a JSON file containing your profiles, care records, notes, and GPS walk history, but no photo binaries. You choose its destination through the device's sharing interface. Anyone you share the file with may read its contents. Dog Ready cannot delete copies you export.
Premium iOS owners can explicitly enable automatic snapshots in their own private iCloud Documents container. These include the same care records and GPS history as a manual export, use the owner's Apple account and iCloud quota, and retain up to three snapshots. Dog Ready has no developer dashboard for accessing these records. Uploads depend on Apple's connectivity and account services.
Disabling automatic backup stops future snapshots and preserves existing ones. To remove them, use Profile → automatic iCloud backup → delete backups before uninstalling, or manage the app's iCloud storage through Apple. Uninstalling the app removes its local data but does not delete iCloud snapshots, exported files, device backups, purchases, or workouts saved in a health app.
This version does not initialize product analytics, collect analytics events, or show advertising. An analytics environment variable does not enable telemetry. Core care features work offline, without consent to analytics or permission to track your location.
Dog Ready does not request a child's identity or operate a social network. Parents and guardians should supervise device permissions, in-app purchases, and sharing of exported records when children participate in dog care.
